2012 Stephanie's Dream Chardonnay

Single vineyard wine, only produced in years when the quality dictates.  It's a wine of great intensity.  It almost hurts it's so tart and tense and concentrated.  Lemon, lime and grapefruit, struck match, a long line of acid, a gentle, spicy creaminess.  And quality, it drips with it.  Complex, persistant, sophisticated.  I'm betting on it for the long-ish haul.

2012 Yarraloch Stephanie’s Dream Chardonnay

Ranked #1 out of 56 Yarra Valley 2012 Chardonnays

Bright, light yellow hue, and an dominant sulphide bouquet, the palate superbly fine and tight, with restrained power, delicate and intense and long on the palate. It’s youthful and bright, focused and precise. The palate is especially impressive and long. Grapefruit dominates. It ends with tremendous line and length.

2012 Yarraloch Stephanie’s Dream Chardonnay

Third release, following on from the ’04 and ’08 versions. This release should respond well to some extra bottle age. It’s intensely fruited, quite tart, all lemon, lime and grapefruit with spicy/creamy input from oak, and pulses out through the finish appreciably. Struck match complexity adds to it’s show. The mid-term future is it’s oyster.
