2012 Yarraloch Stephanie’s Dream Pinot Noir
Grpwn on the ‘highest and hungriest part of the vineyard” 285 Dozen. Made at Oakridge by Stephen Wood
Interesting wine. Requires time and contemplation. Fresh unhurried style with it’s complexity buried deep within. Not a show pony. Almost feels ‘natural’. Red cherry, dry spice, earth, tangy cranberry, undergrowth twigs. The more you look the more you see. Will be fascinating to watch this develop. Something of a new direction for Australian Pinot. Less sex, more conversation, even with its early appeal acknowledged.
